Daschielle Louis is a Haitian American poet, writer, graphic artist, and educator from South Florida. Her work has appeared in Panku Literary and Arts Magazine, Token Magazine, Rise Up Review, Linden Avenue Literary Journal, and The Kudzu Review. Daschielle is the recipient of the 2018 Michael Cleary Creative Writing Scholarship, the 2015 Cody Harris Allen award for Outstanding Undergraduate Writing, the George M. Harper Award for Outstanding Undergraduate Critical Writing, the George and Ruth Yost Award for Best Undergraduate Personal Essay, the 2014 Florida State University Global Scholar Travel Award. Currently, Daschielle is an MFA candidate at Purdue University studying Fiction Creative Writing. She is a reader for Linden Avenue Literary Journal and Winter Tangerine, and creates graphic designs for creatives alongside copy editing work.
